The Midwest Philharmonic Orchestra Named Youth Orchestra of the Year by the Illinois Council of Orchestras

We are honored to announce that the Midwest Philharmonic Orchestra has been selected as the 2025 Youth Orchestra of the Year by the Illinois Council of Orchestras!

This recognition reflects the incredible dedication and talent of our students, the tireless efforts of our volunteers and staff, and the unwavering support of our families and community. We are deeply grateful to all the parents and supporters who have helped our program thrive over the past 18 years.

This award joins a growing list of distinctions, including the 2020 American Prize for Orchestral Performance, the 2020 American Prize for Conducting, the 2021 ICO Conductor of the Year Award, and multiple honors from our performances at the Chicago, New York City, and Los Angeles International Music Festivals.

We’re also excited to share that these awards will soon be proudly displayed at the newest location of Midwest Conservatory of Music, 1990 E. Algonquin Rd. Suite 290, Schaumburg, IL 60173. Stay tuned for details!

Looking ahead, we’re already preparing to celebrate our 20th Anniversary during the 2026–27 season, and we can’t wait to mark that milestone with you.
