Jeanne Hyejin Bae, a flutist and teacher from South Korea, has won prizes from numerous competitions in her country, including the Korea Flute Association Competition, Seoul Philharmonic Competition, CBS Youth Competition, and Music Education News Competition. She built up her experience as a soloist, chamber musician, orchestral player, and teacher in her hometown before coming to America. As a concerto soloist, she performed with the Daejeon Philharmonic Orchestra, MU Symphony Orchestra, and UConn Symphony Orchestra. She also performed in masterclasses of many notable flutists including Jeanne Baxtresser, Alberto Almarza, Jim Walker, DeMarre McGill, Karl-Heinz Schütz, Paul Edmund Davies, Günter Voglmayr, Hansgeorge Schmeiser, Hiroaki Kanda, and Mari Nakano.

Ms. Bae earned her Bachelor’s degree in flute performance from Mokwon University under the tutelage of Soyoung Lee, a former principal flute of Bucheon Philharmonic Orchestra in South Korea. She came to the US in 2012 in her journey to further her education, and she completed the Performer's Certificate at Northern Illinois University and University of Connecticut on full scholarship. She was the NIU’s woodwind honor and served as the principal flute in both schools’ orchestras. In 2017, she had her debut recital at Carnegie Hall as a first-place winner of American Protégé International Woodwind Competition. She now enjoys teaching and performing in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, where she resides.
